Charting the Future of the APF
On April 28-29, 2023, we are gathering at the Museum of the Future in Dubai to celebrate the Association of Professional Futurists' 20th anniversary and how it has become a global community of foresight professionals. This momentous occasion will give us the opportunity to reflect on our past and look toward our future, exploring the next 20 years and beyond.
Over the course of the two days, there will be opportunities to explore the past, present and the future of the APF, lots of time for catching up with friends and making new acquaintances.
The programme encompasses presentations, panel discussions and workshops on a broad range of topics, revolving around how the practice of foresight is shifting, changing, evolving around the world. How has the practice changed over the last few decades? What might it look like in another 20 years? How is foresight practiced in light of different worldviews and cultural contexts? How might we decolonize the futures? How might we evaluate futures work in the future? How might we make it actionable?
