Futures Festival 2019: Radical Transformations

The Futures Festival is a virtual conference that is free and open to everyone. This year, the theme is Radical Transformations. On November 9, 2019, Radical Transformations will connect you to new ideas, projects and people. FF'19 is 12-hours of non-stop, live sessions by presenters who are united by a shared imagining of something radically different from the present and the collective action of people from around the world and all walks of life.

What: Futures Festival is a 12-hour virtual worldwide conference featuring diverse speakers from around the world.

The 2019 theme is Radical Transformations.

The festival plans to take a closer look, across a variety of subjects, including:

  • Drivers of current and future global economic structures

  • Systems that are designed to be restorative and regenerative and that are challenging norms of continuous growth

  • Envisioned models of political structures and models of civic engagement

  • How our society, cities, and communities co-exist

  • Ethics + Futures considerations

Who: The festival is free and open to everyone.

Futures Festival brings together people from business, the public sector, science, academia, technology, the arts, and the humanities to re-imagine and envision the future. This gathering offers interactive presentations from practitioners around the globe, united by their dedication to thriving, flourishing futures. FF'19 is a day of insights, conversations, and sharing ideas.

The Futures Festival is organized entirely by APF volunteers so that there is no cost for registration. If you can afford it, we ask for a $10 contribution to cover expenses. These include the live closed captioning, Zoom and Vimeo accounts and storage, and video production.
