About the Session:
The presentation draws on Brett’s experience over the last few years supporting national security planning for Pacific island nations through a range of capability uplift initiatives. Strategic foresight approaches have been useful to make national security planning more anticipatory and resilient in the face of dynamic geopolitical circumstances and a shifting risk landscape.
The presentation will last 20-25 minutes, followed by the remaining time dedicated to audience Q&A and discussion.
About Brett:
Brett Peppler is the Managing Director of Intelligent Futures Pty Ltd (www.ifutures.com.au) – a specialist management consulting practice providing intelligence-led approaches for managing uncertainty in strategic planning. He specialises in the creative application of strategic foresight to frame and navigate complex business challenges. Brett was a professional intelligence officer for over 45 years, including appointments and professional engagements in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand, and across South-east Asia. Brett has extensive experience as a manager, analyst, educator, and trainer, including responsibility for coordinating corporate analytical programs, and the technical direction of analytical teams. Over the past few years, Brett has focused his consulting work on national security planning with Pacific Island Countries as a Technical Adviser with the Pacific Security College.
