Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America looks for a Foresight Researcher in Sunnyvale, California.
The Principal Foresight Researcher is responsible for leading company’s efforts to identify and understand societal trends in the US Market, to merge them with technological trends, and to translate the insights gleaned into actionable recommendations for R&D, product management and sales teams in the US and around the world.
The candidate will join the Innovation Management, Silicon Valley department which spans from research and business development to engineering teams with a strong ‘outside-in’ mindset.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify and drive research topics that are relevant to better understand future U.S. customers of premium automotive brands based on trend analysis and future market projections.
- Within each project, responsibilities include ideation, logistics, research, team management, data synthesis and analysis, storyboarding, final report or deliverable, and communication.
Master’s degree, preferably in a social science or design research field and at least 8+ years of work experience using social or design research methods are of requirements.
